Do you know which hidden skill links successful people in all walks of life and helps them to make informed decisions, inspire creativity, and forge stronger connections?

The answer is surprisingly simple:

They know how to ask the right questions at the right time.

Questions help us break down barriers, pinpoint solutions, and explore new ways of doing things. But few of us know how to put questions to work in a truly effective way.

Former CNN Anchor, Frank Sesno, has changed that with his new book, Ask More: The Power of Questions to Open Doors, Uncover Solutions and Spark Change.

In an age of instant answers, fly-by facts, and relentless clickbait, Sesno makes a powerful case for the value of observing carefully, listening intently, and asking more. He reveals a roadmap to inquiry that will change the way you question – and that might even change your life!

During this live interview/Q&A session, Frank will share many of the insights and stories he picked up while interviewing dozens of leaders who have used the right questioning techniques to innovate and excel, including:

  • What to ask and when, what you should listen for, and how each different type of question will move you toward your goals.
  • How we can be more effective at work, at home and in life by putting great questions to work for us.
  • How Colin Powell used strategic questions to define a mission and forecast success – or failure.
  • How to use confrontational questions to hold people accountable.

More about Frank:

Frank Sesno is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and a former CNN anchor, White House correspondent, and Washington bureau chief. He is now director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University. If you would like to be introduced to several breakthroughs for your business and life, while authentically networking with 200 of DC’s most remarkable and connected professionals, then you will not want to miss this event!

See what some recent attendees had to say about our YOUniversity experiences:

“Imagine the top minds in the industry mere feet away in an intimate and engaging setting. The opportunity that others have paid thousands of dollars to sit with thousands of others was delivered in one of the best sessions I have ever attended. The value and impact can’t be measured in traditional ways – in keeping with the non-traditional approach CADRE has.”

– Morgan Wright

“The best events in Washington are sponsored by CADRE. Where else would you find amazing speakers, tremendous learning, and conversations with DC’s most remarkable business leaders all under one roof?! If you get the chance to attend a CADRE event, don’t hesitate. Plan to arrive early, stay late, and have a great time in the process meeting some of the most amazing people you’ve ever come across in Washington, DC.”

— Joey Coleman

“There are many options in networking opportunities. Some make it all about the business transactions, some seem more about just passing business cards around to meet a sales quota – and attendees can mark that they attended off a check list. This event, and from what I can tell about cadre in general, is about the relationships. It’s about the natural progression that business contacts must take before truly being a referral source for those who commit to the process. Being in a room full of like-minded CEOs and business professionals is one of the most valuable experiences any professional worth his or her salt, could ask for. Derek and Melanie have created an environment that works. I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to meet them, and other members of cadre at this event.”
